Covid update

Stay Home Stay Safe Extension April 9, 2020 From Governor Whitmer

On Thursday, April 9, 2020 Governor Whitmer signed executive order 2020-42, extending her prior “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order through April 30th. As with the prior order, Executive Order 2020-42 limits gatherings and travel and requires all workers who are not necessary to sustain or protect life to stay home. Executive Order 2020-42 also imposes more stringent limitations on stores to reduce foot traffic, slow the spread of the coronavirus, and save lives.

In addition, Executive Order No. 2020-20 closed many places of public accommodations. Such public accommodations include recreation centers, libraries, golf courses, including the facilities of private membership clubs. Grocery stores are permitted to stay open, so long as they follow the guidelines.

Lake Monterey Golf Course will remain closed through this timeframe.

We continue to evaluate a safe process and method of opening the golf course as well as what that means to ensure the safety of our team and golfers. Everything will not return to normal immediately. We will provide an update prior to the expiration of the extended Stay-At-Home order. For the safety and security of our staff and our community, Lake Monterey Golf Course is required to be closed and will remain closed to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

Thank you for your understanding. We are all in this together and we will all get through this together!
